Some weeks are just busier than others, and it seems North Coast Music Festival spends each of theirs adding new reasons for Midwest music fans hop on board. This week brings a pair of Umphrey’s-related afters, a stage full of Chicago’s best talent, and free magazines for all! Plus, if fans think this festival is missing the boat on some unmatched rising talent, organizers are now giving them the opportunity vote said talent onto the main stage.
As has been heard around town lately, ain’t no party like a North Coast After Party. And to those clamoring for more Umphrey’s this Labor Day, here’s to you.
To purchase tickets for the official North Coast After Parties, fans must purchase an equal or greater number of tickets to the Festival itself. This way, festivalgoers won’t lose out to those that skip “Summer’s Last Stand” for the limited room at the Official “Afters.” After Party ticket buyers will be asked to provide their Clubtix.net username and password, or North Coast Music Festival proof of purchase to complete their transaction.

If you’re a fan of Chicago’s deep pool of musical talent, now’s the time to go out and stock up on Red Bull. Because the purveyors of everyone’s favorite energy drink, and storied benefactor of global beats, have brought their Transformers-esque Tour Bus Stage to the North Coast Music Festival. What this means for festivalgoers? About 20 more bands announced next week.
Not to be ignored, North Coast media partners Timeout Chicago have offered 6,000 lucky fans a 1-year subscription to their ubiquitous weekly guide to being social at no charge – with no strings attached. If you’ve already bought tickets, you’re one of those lucky fans. If you haven’t, hurry and don’t miss out.
For bands still looking to share the main stage at Chicago’s newest major music festival, only a few days remain to upload their wares for consideration. Now it’s up to the fans. Come Monday, August 2, fans are invited to vote early and often for one DJ and one Live Band to be added to a roster that includes pioneers, legends, and a Marley.
As most festival-goers have come to expect, it’s better to buy early and capture more value than those that stall. Same goes with North Coast, as single day tickets are slated to increase in price come Tuesday, August 10th. Learn more about the fest and grab your tickets at www.northcoastfestival.com!
